Any red flags on this 1675?
Hello all. Just like the title says, I am trying to figure out if there are any red flags to indicate that this isn't what it purports to be ... 1966 small hand 1675. Yes I know better pictures would be preferred, but this is all I have to work with for now. Setting aside the polished lugs, comparing the text and dial markers on the dial, the shape of the case, the shape of the GMT hand, nothing seems out of the ordinary. But admittedly my knowledge about these watches pales in comparison to a good number of people here. So any feedback based on what I have here would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks |

I assume that the dial is gilt when seen in person? It's just really hard to tell from the photos.
Edit: Never mind, the third photo shows it pretty clearly.

The SWISS - T<25 logo above two seconds markers on both sides of 30 does point to a gilt dial (particularly the "wide Swiss" type C dial) from what I've been able to uncover. But I agree with you, from the first two pictures is quite difficult to tell. The third one does seem to show a golden hue of the dial text.

Looks like the caseback says 1964, which is right for the 1.2m serial. Who told you '66?
The lume on the hands & dial appears compromised and as do the hands themselves. Bracelet appears later and you've mentioned the case/polishing issues. You'd have to live with the case. But if the price is right... |
