Weird case back number on a 15200. Help needed
Hi guys,
I recently grabbed a Rolex date ref 15200 with 3135 caliber and no holes case. However i just realized that the caseback has 2120 stamped inner side instead of 15200 or 15000. The watch overall looks genuine to me but since the caseback has this weird marking i have now some doubts. Anybody has any experience with such an issue? What is 2120? Any advice will be highly appreciated |

If I remember it was around 2000-2004 that Rolex changed the code on case backs no longer reference number just 4 digits that covered all models in that reference range. And believe you asked exactly the same question in the vintage forum which was answered.
