thats either because the web designers are terrible and blew it, or that its not discontinued.

We know that the website isnt good, so its just more evidence for those in the discontinued camp

Time will tell. I guess we'll all know if it's actually been discontinued for sure in March. I don't care one way or another because I have one and won't be selling it, but I wouldn't read into it too much that it's on the website. I don't know jack about web design, but my educated guess is it would take much less effort to delete the BLNR from the site than to add the new/updated models after Basel and those will be up immediately after any upcoming announcements.

It's been stated many times (and even acknowledged by the president of Rolex Canada) that the website is a marketing tool, and is not the catalog. Discontinued models may remain on the website for a period of time if there is remaining stock at dealers. (Although how that works in an era where dealers have no stock of many of the in-demand models, I'm not sure.) As such, the presence of a given model on the website isn't a good indicator of whether or not a model has been discontinued. That's a general truism, irrespective of the model we're talking about.

The last couple of years, in the months leading up to Basel, we got solid reporting of discos that ended up happening (SD4K in '17, black-dial WG BLRO in '18). In both instances, the watches remained on the website until Basel. Ironically, we have segued pretty seamlessly from the post-Basel '18 rumors of a BLNR disco to the pre-Basel '19 period, where the disco rumors persist. At this point, it would be tough to distinguish between reporting for an upcoming BLNR disco in '19, versus a holdover from '18. Regardless of its production status, I think it's safe to say the BLNR will be on the website at least until Basel in March. Either way, you can bet people will continue to note the BLNR's presence on the website as evidence it hasn't been discontinued.

I went to see what all the fuss was about and nearly had a seizure. Did they drop acid before the user experience meeting? The "Dancing Wilsdorfs" are unsettling, to say the least.

I dunno. I remember people saying the Rolex.org website was a bunch of marketing BS and didn't offer any real insight into the brand's history. As for the .com site, maybe people were just wowed by the graphics and hadn't yet figured out how much worse the navigation is.
