This was definitely the correct choice to make.

Tune back in on Saturday. Unfortunately, the forecast is for scattered thunderstorms again.

I think the window is 5/31 - Heard they’ve scrapped Saturday but I could have heard wrong on the radio. There was some chatter during abort announcement.

My fingers are crossed as I hope they're able to launch on Saturday.

I guess it was a good run through, but no way that was going to launch in that atmosphere...way too charged up.

Was looking forward to seeing it zooming across the skies of Ireland as it was clear today, so bummed. Saw the last shuttle mission fly over as a bright blue and yellow dot (shuttle boosters and ET flaming up).
Hopefully skies here be clear on Sat too! |

Yes - however the weather is actually forecasted to be worse. Ya know, Florida weather in afternoons is full of pop-up T-storms. NASA did Mercury, Gemini & Apollo launches in mornings for that reason. We will know space travel is mainstream when they launch despite rain - sort of like commercial aviation. I’m thinking Sunday will be better. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I was watching all morning. I feel sorry for those astronauts who mentally prepped themselves just to have it called off with 20 mins to go. Now they have to do it all over again.
Hoping for a successful launch this weekend. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

My fave moment during the live broadcast was when Elon said to the head of NASA "What is he smoking." As much as I've had a bit of fun (making fun) of Elon, he is brilliant in all the crazy ways i love.

Yep, there are many plane & phase window intersections over different periods each day/week/month. Some are 2-10 minutes wide. Yesterday’s was an instantaneous window so no wiggle room. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Although still private, SpaceX is one of the most valued companies in the world, and with NASA's backing even a potential disaster would not be the end of the company. Keep in mind it's been many years since US astronauts have launched from from the US. So, the whole country is backing this event. PS - USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA ..... |

Space X launch
True as long as a marine layer doesn’t set up. But the insertion profile for eventual ISS docking requires a N-NE trajectory - this would put the return booster and later the capsule over land and not really safe enough for that yet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Yup, today is the next try. Let's hope the head of NASA is smoking something good (h/t Elon). :)

I'll start the conspiracy theory right now. It's all being done with holograms and pyrotechnics. Actually I lived in Florida and was privileged to watch the first Space Shuttle launch from my apartment front steps. It's quite an experience to watch a launch!!! God's speed to the crew!!!
