Swiss Watch Exports down 80% in April

Maybe already posted. Article from Monochrome based on a report of FHS. Not a big surprise with the shut down of the manufactures in Switzerland and the closures of stores world wide. Market took a big hit.

Thanks for sharing I can't wait for all of this to be turned around. It'll take some time but it's painful to see any industry (particularly one you're passionate about) take such a hit.

Would have thought it would be only common sense that most all exports would be down on most all products except those directly for need with this current pandemic.

It is a truism for decades past. Our Greatest Generation saw it in spades as they battled a different type of war. Civilian non-essential production fell precipitously as war materiel replaces it.

Now Masks, Vents, Sanitizers, etc. are a priority.
