CHNR vs. BLRO
Opinions?
TT worth $5k premium? Just trying to decide which one to pressure my AD into trying to get and it's tough because they both look awesome. |

In which standard? MSRP vs MSRP, 100% would go for the BLRO over the CHNR any day of the week.
Getting the BLRO at MSRP is the hard/impossible part. I'm sure it will be a lot easier getting the CHNR at this moment. ... everyone is walking into Rolex or phoning up their ADs and pressuring them for the BLRO or DaytonaC. I don't think most are going anywhere with this ask... unless they are willing to write a blank cheque for the other stuff the AD has in store. |

I passed on the "two-tone" CHNR, but picked up a BLNR that day instead. I'd rather go ahead a spend a few more bucks to get the all Everose gold version instead. That watch is beautiful to me.

No premium is worth it to me. I do not care for two tone so my answer is easy, BLRO

Wow, I prefer the CHNR as much more subtle than the "in your face" BLRO.

Both great. The blro seems more youthful and the chnr seems more mature

If your AD is willing to push to get you either, get the BLRO and decide later if it truly sings to you. I've had multiple opportunities to buy a CHNR at retail from ADs and I'm no VIP. If you can manage to get a BLRO and decide later you want the CHNR, you can always trade, essentially buying a $14k watch for $9350, and possibly pocket an extra 1-2k. As far as the watches go. Both are incredible. The CHNR is the only TT watch I've ever really loved. The heft is really nice and the color combo is much better in person, than any photos. The BLRO might be my favorite watch of all time though, especially if I only could pick one. Close second would be a BLNR, but I like the color combo on the BLRO just a little bit more. I definitely appreciate the new movement and updated jubilee bracelet with EX Link. |

Right now I have:
Patek 5146J Blue SkyDweller Black Daytona ceramic Submariner LVc So I'm looking to round it out with a GMT before I have to move to vintage or PM... I'm optimistic that I'll be able to get either at retail price as I have good relationships with a couple of ADs. |

I’d get the SS BLRO. The watch is just so good in person and on the wrist. Then decide if the TT or full PM is next.

BLRO, regardless if it is MSRP vs MSRP, or secondary vs secondary.

As much as I love the CHNR, if I was offered both at MSRP I would take the BLRO.

Forgot to list that I also have a Tudor BB GMT, which makes the CHNR super appealing since I already have a GMT with blue/red bezel, but I agree that I can't not buy the BLRO if offered. Maybe I'll end up with both!

I don’t care for the CHNR and am a big fan of the BLRO, so I’m biased.

Both are wonderful references.
The CHNR might be the only TT Rolex I'd consider (well maybe a bluesy ) However, the BLRO is my favourite Rolex professional model. Consider the history of the reference, supremely comfortable jubilee, and yes those colors No contest for me Sent from my SM-G960W using Tapatalk |

As to opinions...they're both great watches. There's no 'versus', it's just a question of which look you're after. As to which one...I say both, of course. |

That's a whole new either Sub, BLNR or LV which I can patiently wait for from my AD. Quote:
I agree. Worth is strange in this situation. Common sense to me is that of course it's worth more, it has gold. I don't buy hype, why would I pay a $9k resale mark up when the other watch actually has a precious metal and there isn't any tech or engineering to make up for the difference. But then again people spend their money and judge what they like on hype and social media creds. When you buy on personal preference anything can be worth it to you and paying "x" amount for something cannot be criticized, personal happiness is paramount. Hopefully it's a decision based on personal preference like preferring jubilee or not liking two tone or the color brown, but today that's rarely the case. Both beautiful watches, but lately the CHNR is starting to look much more appealing. At MSRP having both available would be quite difficult, both can be timeless watches but I'd give the nod to the BLRO slightly for it's rich history. On the second hand market it's not even a question, CHNR all day. The CHNR is second in line for my next watch while the BLRO isn't even on my short list and it's a unicorn to boot. |

Much prefer the CHNR. Can’t get past the jubilee on the BLRO. When I saw the BLRO in person I was turned off by the colors.

I have both. While the CHNR has been on my wrist more lately, I still think the BLRO has a heritage that can’t be beat.
