Looking For Referrals For AP AD In NYC

Hi y’all. I’m looking to pick up a watch on a trip to NYC at the AP boutique there. I’m curious if folks have any recommended people to get in contact with in advance of the trip. Thanks!

I’d like to inquire about putting a deposit on an upcoming 15500. In the past it’s been hit or miss with a sales agent in the store since I don’t have a relationship with them.

What color dial? Blue would be tough for 15500. 25% refundable deposit if they accept your deposit.

I was just denied after offering to leave a deposit for the 15500, and I'm a local. They told me to contact them again next year.

can't comment on availability, but Material Good in Soho is an amazing shop. You'll have an experience there that feels exclusive.

It will be hard to get your name on for 15500 now (unless you are going for something other than blue dial). And I do agree with Chadridv on Material Good.
Solid place.

Only places are Material Good and the boutique. Wempe and Cellini no longer carry AP. If you are brave and very knowledgeable, you can go to diamond district but for the most part you will get ripped off there.

The AP boutique in NY was only doing 15500 blue for existing boutique customers. They would take 25% for the grey face but are only getting 9 in all year (grey).

You can go to AP and ask or Kevin or Brandon, they are straight shooters at least, and are pretty forthcoming with what they can or can not do...not sure if they will have any more 15500 spaces though for the year, it may be next year already.

Manuela at the NYC boutique is who I always get my pieces from. She's great.

Keeno helped me procure my 15400 back in Aug! He was very helpful!

I’m now prospecting a few other pieces with his assistance.

Thanks everyone! After getting hooked on the 39mm ROCs by a 25860 it was time to move on up. I love this watch. With the rose gold it looks great on brown straps. But the black subdial rings make it look great with black straps as well.

I have not found ANYONE from that location to be interested in forming a relationship.

I have purchased many AP's, went in there with some high end pieces and they always say that they'll call me...

Then, when I call to place an order, they have the audacity to ask for a full deposit or even 50%.. where other 'boutiques' and even AD's would accept a $5-8k deposit for $30k + pieces.

It's a bad way to do business.

I was going to put deposit down for the new 44 offshore grey ceramic, unfortunately AP dropped this model after SIHH.

Was out doing some errands today and stopped by the 57th St AP location, and got to meet Manuela (mentioned above).

Was purely in there to check out the perpetual model, which they didn't have the white or blue dial but to my surprise she goes in the back and brings out the AP Perpetual Latin America model.

My god, what a watch. The pictures online do not do it justice, its memorizing. If anyone is in the market for a Perpetual, I encourage you to run this to location.

She did mention the following if it helps...the normal minimum deposit on a watch they need to order is 25% which is refundable if you don't like it upon arrival.

She cant guarantee any time frame on the order delivery time, but it will be "this year".

This was the flagship store , so I cant even imagine what the on hand inventory is other ADs across the US - slim pickings I am sure.
