BLNR vs GMT 116713

Hi guys
I’d like to add a new toy to few I have watches I have.

My brother says go for the GMT 116713

My heart says the BLNR

But my wife thinks that BLNR looks too much to the Submariners I already have, lol

Which one would you choose and why?

Thx in advance

If you buy anything that goes against your heart, you will regret it.

I’ve got both, bought the 116713 first then picked up a BLNR.

Haven’t really worn the 116713 since, so the BLNR gets my vote!

I’d go 116713 as that flash of gold is very striking.

BLNR. The GMT is meant to have a bi-color bezel. While the espresso is also iconic, whenever I think of GMT Master I think of Pepsi, Coke and now BLNR. The watch has PCLs so it won't be exactly like your Subs. If you use the GMT function then having the ability to see day and night quickly is really useful. Whichever you choose it's a really practical watch especially for the traveler or if you have family or business in another timezone.I would probably say it's the most useful feature besides the day on the DD. I always forget what day of the week it is. People hardly ever use chronos, don't dive everyday, but being able to set your watch to local time while seeing home time is really useful.

I would say you should ignore the brother and wife and follow the heart.

When it comes to watches, it's almost always best to follow the heart and in my opinion your heart is right. The BLNR is a beautiful watch.

Tough call. IMO that's the nicest two tone in the Ro,ex line up. The BLNR looks better in photographs than in real life to me, and it didn't stick.

Best of luck deciding

Lol, let’s say the whole story, my wife said that just because she wants me to get this BLRO

But it was unfair for me to put it in the “poll” with the other 2.
It’s on my list, but not for now. In the future, who knows...

Tough choice. I love the TT GMT but I have the BLNR. If you want some flash TT for sure :)

A while back I traded my TT 116713LN for a BLNR and some cash my way, I like the BLNR but deeply regretted it and ended up buying my 116713LN TT back. Never thought I would be a Two Tone kind of guy but there’s just something about it, one of the favourites in my Rolex collection.

The TT looks brilliant on a rubber strap, IMHO, better than everose Yachtmaster - if that's a look you might go for

However, the blue on the BLNR also sets it off

Used go TT, new BLNR

Trade the Black subc for the BLNR and add TT GMTc.

Save for what you really want - BLRO. Barring that, get what your heart wants.

I was deciding between the BLNR and two-tone black sub. I went with the BLNR, but it was close. I don't care for the two-tone GMT -- the gold bezel numbers are a bit too "in your face," and the green hand and writing don't go well with the gold to my eyes.
