Any watch or object has the potential to fail - the assembly design of the two watches is completely different, but I don’t believe anyone can give you objective figures for water ingression issues per 100,000 units sold - or whatever the chosen measure is.

The SD does have 4x the water depth pressure rating vs the APD, so it would certainly be the better choice if you were diving past 300M.

Sorry, meant to quote the above when I asked “of what?”

Based on water resistance ratings alone, I would expect the Seadweller to be less prone to water ingress than an AP Diver. But I personally know one Rolex Submariner owner that found moisture in his watch.
