Curious as to how you say it aloud-

I've typed 1680, 16800 and 168000 a few times here and have seen the designations written on even more occasions, to the extent that it forms an image and association with the particular model.

But what about in speech? While '1680' might be obvious to say aloud (sixteen-eighty'?), I'm wondering how you'd describe the other two model designations in speech.

16800- 'sixteen-eight-o-o'? 'Sixteen-eight hundred'?

168000- 'Sixteen-eight-zero-zero-zero', or maybe 'Sixteen-eight-thousand'?

...or something else?

In my head it’s always sixteen eighty but one six eight zero zero. No idea what people say though! Good question.

Interesting question

Now that I think about it, I say: sixteen eighty but intend to say each number individually for references that are 5 and 6 digit.

Sixteen eighty. Sixteen eight hundred.
I don’t think I’ve ever said 168000 out loud.

I’m the same, but for references ending in 00 I’ll group the last digits.

One six six one three.
One six eight hundred.
One six six one zero.

For me, and our watch GTG club I say and mostly hear the following:

1680 = Sixteen-Eighty
16800 = Sixteen-eight hundred

16610 = Sixteen-six-ten
16710 = Sixteen-seven-ten
168000 = Sixteen-eight thousand
116610 = One-Sixteen-six-ten

On the more modern ceramic, we often skip right to the suffix or nickname skipping the numbers:
BLNR or Batman/Batgirl(Jubilee)
BLRO or Pepsi

Thx all. I think I'll go with 'sixteen-eight-thousand' to describe my watch. Seems to roll off the tongue ;)
