Open 6's

I must say it, I've grown really fond of the open 6 on the date wheel of my 16800. My other date watch (16710) seems almost too new.. I think a 1680 is also on the horizon...

Open 6

I think something is wrong with my 1625...
The "6" is upside down

Please do not worry, unnecessarily. Before a month's time, it will be all right. Do not waste your time, going to RSC.

Thanks Adam, my watch is a 1984 year. The 16800 has some great features: white gold surrounds, sapphire crystal, quickset date feature and open 6 on the date wheel. I bought an 84 to match my 1984 car, which I sold I few months ago to fund a Rolex GMT 16710...A lot people didn't understand why I would sell a car in order to purchase a watch, though I suspect people here get it.

I view old Porsche's as depreciating assets that leak oil in your garage and require constant attention/money. As for Rolex watches, I haven't cleaned up any oil or felt a sore back or wallet pain caused by a weekend of repair, and yes, I believe my watches my have actually appreciated in value since I started buying them 6 months ago....
