Thanks my friend - it was snowing all day yesterday, and I was out shovelling and clearing the drive last night. It was by then raining and already melting - and VERY heavy - but then the skies cleared and there was a sharp frost this morning, so I'm glad I got the driveway clear, although parts of it are now covered in sheets of black ice! Looks lovely up here in the Zurich 'Oberland'

Great looking Double Red Aaron. It's got to be one of the last ones.

This one I still regret parting with.
I don't think I'll find one as nice.

Thanks!! Yeah, definitely a late one. Just a superb watch. Man, I wish they still made 'em like this.

Wow! What is that? I love the uncluttered, clean dial. What does it say on the dial in Arabic?

That watch is stunning. Whether pictured with the Sultan of Oman's crossed swords or the script in Arabic, that red paint on an uncluttered black matte dial is beautiful. I would love to see one on my wrist some day.

BTW, Surely you can pick-out my favorite in the group. It is the one that stands out.......and it's not the blacked-out aberration. That golden patina, sweet superdome..........Rolex just can't duplicate such sweetness with their newest releases. Don't the others just look plain when sitting beside the BEST??
As much as I love modern Rolexes, I agree that they can't compare to their older brethren. New ones seem so cold compared to the warm character of vintage pieces with plexi crystals, matte dials and tritium markers. But your whole line-up is awesome.

You bastards are making me want a SD now!

Which model is the first photo? Im very intrigued by its snowflake bezel. Is it a vintage?

The first photo is of a 5.3 mil 1665 with a MK I dial. This was the first dial to be produced after the dials with red print. Unsure what you mean about snowflake bezel.

David great looking Mk IV. I always enjoying seeing it.

I mean faded bezel. Or is that just the reflection from the photo?

The faded insert has a gun metal grey appearance that can change its look depending on different lighting conditions. That photo was taken with natural light.

These are some nice watches. Excuse my ignorance but when were these made in general? I am new to watches.
