It's not traditional warranty. Read the link in a previous post. Covers wear and tear and damage. Still cheaper than grey prices.

Tourneau Submariner No Date

I don’t understand all the hassle. Buy the watch and the warranty.

Call them a day later and cancel the warranty plan and get fined for 25$. (Had a quick look at the full terms and conditions on their site) - page 3 point #14.

Problem solved?

Enjoy

I haven't bothered to read the terms and conditions of the warranty due to extreme laziness but if it's like most warranties, you should be able to cancel it and get a pro-rated refund (minus a possible admin fee). If it overlaps and runs concurrently with the Rolex warranty, it doesn't make much sense to have it.

Ha, no way plus I already have a sub no date. But I got mine from Tourneau in NYC also. They tried pushing that bs warranty and I declined. I was assuming it was the one by Byrant park because my friend received a sub date from the other one and didn't bother him.

Ping, congrats on an awesome watch at a great price. And it looks like Dori found an out for you with returning the warranty and getting 600 bucks back, lol. Best of all worlds.

Go to the thrift shop and get a tiger stripped fur coat for 99 cents and walk in like you own the place to get the refund

Agreed! Now he just needs to write to Rolex USA and let them know about Tourneau forcing customers to buy the warranty.

Also, btw, you think you're sticking it to tourneau? more likely you're screwing over a sales associate.

Oh and lastly, good luck ever buying another watch from them.
The store associates are in on this. Serves them right. No morals to the customer, no morals in return.

OP. I'd take the Sub, purchase the warranty, and then pull out of the cooling off period, which legally you must have.

Put it on a credit card to ensure you are covered legally and it'll be watertight.

Nice! If they're going to play the game, then play right back! Enjoy an amazing watch.

Yeah this is nonsense and everyone is in on it. Tourneau has already done the math on this policy and expect some people to cancel while cashing in on those who don’t read the fine print.

Just like buying electronics at Best Buy or a refrigerator at Sears, the salesperson and the store make a lot more money off extended warrantees than the actual sale.
