Things guys only say about watches

I hear guys all the time saying "Wow that watch is stunning!" Ever heard a guy use that word to describe anything else?

"What a stunning dunk!"
"Those are some stunning wheels on your Porsche!"

No?

What else do guys say about watches that they don't normally say in other situations?

Although I have never used that phrase on here, or heard it anywhere in real life. It's right up there with "buy the seller" in my mind in terms of trite expressions that will never come out of my mouth or keyboard.

I have never heard any guy say "Wow that watch is stunning!"

People only write things like that on this forum, and there is a big difference between what is written on the internet and what is stated in the real world.

I've only ever heard the word "stunning" used in relation to blonde women.

I think collectors are the same whether the internet or in person. You’re just less likely to run into a WIS randomly in public.

I was thinking along those lines except - ANY stunning woman! Hair color, skin tone, ethnicity, etc. really don't matter - stunning is stunning!!

Because I haven't heard it in that context. I also excluded brunettes and red-heads.
"Stunning blonde" is an idiom I have heard, "stunning brunette" or "stunning red-head" is one I haven't heard.
I think your insinuation is a little sinister.

Why is it conversely that blondes in society are also used as a reference in the context of being ditsy in an opposite point to what you mention. Why’d you limit to only the above in addition, surely there are many many more as well.

I think the inference is that, “You can’t have it all”

Yes. And imagine that same negative often implied of blondes being ditsy being used elsewhere. We can all search for things to be offended by if we really wish to. Doesn't mean it's the best perspective to take.

I wasn't condoning it by any means, just offering an explanation as to where it comes from.

Getting back to the OP's original question, before I joined TRF, never heard anyone bemoan that something was 'over-polished'.
