Advice on accepting different forms of payment

I’m a soon to be first time seller on the forums and wanted opinions as to what is the safest ways of accepting payment. Any tips, pros, cons would be greatly appreciated!

Safe for you would be a wire into your bank account. If you’ll be selling repeatedly, preferably one set-up for that purpose.

Don’t ship until funds clear - for example, after you move it out of the account to another one. Some scammers “fake” a wire with some bank apps and then pressure you to ship ASAP.

Beware of PayPal chargeback scammers.

I've sold a few things here - one of the best rules is 'don't go forward unless 100 percent comfortable'.

Second is - vet the buyer the same way you would a seller, look at online history, feedback and other things along those lines, to make sure you are selling to a trusted person. For example I'd happily take paypal payments from long standing members here, equally I'd be happy to sell a watch to someone with 0 posts - if they paid by wire.

Like mentioned above just steer clear of PayPal... too many possible hassles dealing with chargebacks and holding new sellers money!

Some great advice here. I've seen my share of horror stories over the years on various forums. If you do what was suggested above you'll be much better off. Best of luck to you
