Hi Ichiran. Very nice to know you too like the 5711p so much.
The cork box is light. So much so as compared to the wooden jewel box that comes with other PP watches.
It has the same smell as the cork of a wine bottle. Or should I say the smell of a tree bark or oaks.
On a lighter side, this watch costs almost the same as my sound system and it gives me the same satisfaction.

Beautiful watch! Would love to see more pictures when you can. Nice sound system, too.

Thanks for sharing these pics and describing that lovely box, really appreciate it

I'm not sure what is the going rate now, but pls do keep hold of that cork box - I recall reading about an article of the 3700 cork box fetching USD13,000 in the market

Ichiran, very kind of you to let me know on the value of the cork box. I didn't know it is so precious for the 3700. Thanks!

I love the 5711, especially its icy cold whitish model. But the 5712A is simply my favorite watch, and for me there is no competition to it at all.

Hi I have both. I truly believe that you would not get tired of the 5712 so easily. Before getting the 5711, you would be mesmerised by the beautiful dial. However, after getting it, some of the novelty will wear off... not to say that it is no longer beautiful. It is as beautiful as it was, and i still love it as much, thats why I am keeping both :)

Ps the Casio is my workhorse for sports ( as I run quite a lot and the timer works perfectly for its purpose)
