1921?

Patrimony small seconds?

New triple calendar not bad? Davidsw just listed one for 15k usd BNIB. There’s value there.

I think this is right.

This might be some interesting context. I'm in my mid-late 20s and last year I wanted to branch out beyond Rolex and add my first proper leather band dress watch to my collection. I quickly honed in on PP and Lange -- the former because of it's obvious reputation and the latter due to the Lange 1 being one of my top "grail" watches. I was deciding between a Calatrava and Saxonia. Thankfully I had the opportunity to easily try out both watches multiple times (love that there is a Lange boutique at South Coast Plaza in SoCal now!) and ended up going to with the Saxonia. Hard to describe why beyond the feeling that the Saxonia just "spoke" to me more. Most of the deciding process was me trying to fight my draw towards the Saxonia by thinking about how classic/icon the Calatrava...feelings (and the Saxonia) ultimately prevailed though!

for a dress watch that is exactly what i would get. I just dont really have a need for one, kind of wish i did though.

Yes, was going to add VC too, both dress and sports. Big fan.

Ouch, that can happen on any metal bezel, but doubt PP will go anywhere near ceramic or it's a capitulation to sports.

Yeah, I was joking, but the subsidiary is taking over the asylum.

I believe a PP polish is £2-300 so very reasonable if turnaround is not too long. I think that R does need it.

I would love to see patek move closer to mid century. The only current model that is as close as it should be to aesthetic of a mid century patek is the 5170r

I'd like more domed sapphires and smaller cases.

Looking back, Baselworld 2018 was a bumper crop year in terms of new Patek release. There were 5270p, 5740, 5968, 5205g, 5524r and 5067a, etc. Which other year can you think of that can match that exceptional 2018 releases?
