I would recommend a Ceramic Royal Oak Offshore. The fact that I have one should not be considered, this is an unbiased recommendation.

Ok so the plans have been put on hold! AD just called to say there was a Sub LV with my name on it! I can’t afford this and the 5164 and from the AD the 5164 would be later this year.
Looks like my summer watch will be a nice green stainless number! The rubber will have to wait! I can’t turn the LV down.
Thanks for the advice guys, all much appreciated.
Or are you going to convince me to put the deposit down for the 5164 and save for the rest of the year?!

Maybe consider a RubberB or Everest for the new Sub?

And...... then put the deposit down for the 5164. There will be another summer next year. Just sayin’

When a change of plans work out, it’s a beautiful thing. The LVc is a fantastic summer (and year round) watch. Congrats!

P.S. If it’s still in the budget, you may as well stay on the list for the 5164a. It seems to be the hottest watch on the PP forum these days.

I’m thinking Blue Sunburst to go with the ocean/seas
or clear blue summer skies ... Possibly a Blue Submariner!!!

Can't blame you, as Steve's pics show it is a fabulous summer watch, esp for a Brit, so keep saving and get the 64 in the autumn, this is just what I did last year with these two.

Haha thanks for the great feedback guys. You lot are more expensive than my wife
I have to go and collect the sub which I’m more excited about than I expected! So while I’m there I best have a chat with him!
One good thing is that he said as a business they are now keeping the warranty card for a year and all stickers off on Rolex Professionals. I’m glad of it too

This was going to be my suggestion so glad to see your update. LVc is an outstanding summer watch you'll love it! The 5164 is also amazing but won't look as good next to the pool or on the beach imo. Plus I'd be less concerned about losing my watch to the depths of the ocean on a bracelet versus rubber strap!

I'd have to choose Neil's rose gold nautilus, the way that watch shines in sunlight is unreal.

First choice (non patek) would be AP15400 rose or YG Daytona oysterflex.
