I’d take the 5711, it has more room to run

In truth in this market I would not worry about resale prices any more, the last 6 months have seen constant balking at rising prices and then regret as they were not bought, and so I would just put that all aside and focus on the watches and get your grail, which does sound like the white 5711, and if the price does fall in future, so what, if it is a grail watch for wearing. Don't settle if you can afford not to.

Update: went to try on the 5711 and was disappointed at how cheap and flimsy the watch looked on my wrist! It definitely didn’t look like a 38k watch at all (not even 30k!). Even the seller, who seems to be an honest man, told me he wouldn’t buy this watch.
The guy with the BLNR never showed up and doesn’t respond to my messages anymore. In short: lots of adrenaline today but going home empty-handed... |

For 38k the watch shouldn't feel cheap to you! The BLNR definitely feels more substantial.

A key difference is a stockmarket falls much quicker than it rises, the grey watch market will do the opposite as it is controlled by a few market makers who don't make much money on falling prices so they won't suddenly slash them. |

I like your kind of enabling! I'm just having cold feet myself on a 5711 at the new retail and it all seems a little bit crazy. There hasn't been a single AD that I've spoken with in the last year that hasn't told me they've never seen the market like it is today.
