!HELP! YG DD 18238 Price for the next 30 years
morning everybody,
i was buy YG DD 18238 last month, it was USD 10.000 all is 100% original and very excellent condition i weighted it and it was 130 grams (19+1 president links) so i raftly calculate total gold price + diamond of this watch 130gr - movement 30gr = 100gr 100gr X 75% X gold price = approx USD 5000 so my "rolex" price was 5000 (exclude gold price, cause 10.000-5000=5000) what do you think about this watch price for the next 30 years ? because i saw YG DD 18038 now was only USD 6000 ? (nearly gold-scrap only price?) i know 18038 is single quick set, mine 18238 is double quick set its okay for me to keep this watch for years because i love it very much, the watch is very excellent condition, but for the next 30 years... will its price only a little above its gold-scrap price? what do you think about this watch price for the next 30 years ? sorry if my english poor thank you |

Hmmmmm... That is very hard to predict, however, don't worry about future value, enjoy your timepiece! That was a great choice picking up that 18238. Enjoy and don't lose too much sleep over the future value...

Yes
Go for it. Enjoy it for 30 years. Gold will be $5000/oz. If it's not don't ring me - I'll be long gone but will have enjoyed this one.

I am looking to buy a Daydate in the near future as well. I seems to me the Single biggest determinant of price for Rolex day date's seems to be the condition of the presidential bracelet. A stretched out bracelet will be given a value slightly above the gold scrap as it will have to be replaced at great expense (at a premium above scrap value) or just scrapped and a strap used to wear the watch.
a day date president with a tight bracelet will bring a decent premium.... |
