>>> Post your 1680/3 nipples!
In my ongoing lust for nipple dials I have been feeling the "jones" for a two tone nipple sub. Please help to enable me...Show off your two tone nipples!

1680/3 was the two tone version of the 1680. Just as the 1680/8 was the full 18k version.
The “nipples” refers to the shape of the hour markers. Because of the little gold pips with lume dots in the middle they have been nicknamed as a nipple dial

A two-tone Submariner 1680, I'd sure like to see some photos of that model.

Yes we have all said that this combination was never made. However it has been accepted by some that Rolex did in fact make a 1680 two tone. Some say that it was only a dealer conversion. Either way, flame me all you want, they exist. I just wanted to see who has them out there.

Only 2 tone 1680’s are modified ones
Using parts from gold & ss models. Please show us the Rolex literature. This model never existed & I’ll be happy to eat my words otherwise..

I’m with you on that. Supposedly there was a vintage add with a pic of one floating around somewhere. Although it could have been a dealer add.
My intent was not to spur an argument about where or not they exist. Whether they were a dealer conversion or a Rolex order is irrelevant. They are out there... Just asking for pics folks.
