Scratch protection for PCL

Hello,
I ran across that recent video:
https://youtu.be/j5a2YHzV2jg

Has anyone ever tried that? I cannot find any link. Curious about how it turns out over time...

Those little stickers may be the worst idea I've seen to avoid scratches. You know they are going to peel off and look terrible with any kind of regular use.

I'm careful while wearing any watch, but things happen. I read a long time ago, that marks and swirls on a wedding ring show the endurance and time that goes into a marriage. I feel the same with my watches. I can point out a few spots on my watch that I know exactly what happened to create them. I have a little cluster of scratches on my clasp from when my wife tickled me and I yanked my hands off the Macbook.

As a lot of the forum says, "embrace the scratches."

Another brainstorm gimmick that is worthless and illogical. Either accept that a metal bracelet watch with get scratches or put it away in the watch box and just admire it.

That's ridiculous. I don't like scratches on my PCLs, but I've learned to live with them, and to own them as a consequence of wearing my pieces. It's like those people who have plastic wrapped couches at home, or plastic wrapped car seats. Besides, the few I've seen people wearing with stickers still on look like crap - they get all kinds of grime, grit, dead skin and hair stuck underneath and it looks absolutely disgusting.

He said “Rolex GMT two tone....a watch I’ve wanted since I was a young guy.” Doesn’t even know the name. Found it funny.

True Stories on the forum. In the last photo, the reader literally fashioned out a wrist size tunnel in the box so that he could keep the Rolex in the box AND wear it at the same time !

If you can't handle scratches, don't wear your watch...

His Rolex GMT TT.

Pretty much the same as leaving the stickers on it when you first buy it. Not my cup of tea.

OP, don't leave stickers on. It's not a good look.

With that said, I clicked the author's website, and apparently he's a former Marine who saw combat in Iraq. So I won't disparage him over some stickers

I cannot see the video at work but I can only imagine that this person is afraid to wear their watch.
