New upgraded movement - 70 hour power reserve and now has a Glidelock clasp. I am definitely going to consider swapping out my clasp for the Glidelock provided the price isn't too crazy.

Thanks.

I’m into the same thing.

I’m quite comfortable with it now. But a glidelock will make it perfect.

How has the rubber bracelet been holding up on the 116655 for you guys? Any issues with wear or scratches on the rubber?

With the new version coming out, do you think a AD would come off of the price on a new 116655? (I was in yesterday and he had one in stock I tried on)

New movement update caused the price increase.

The Rolex EverRose YachtMaster Club 116655

Glad I got my 116655 in Sept 2018. With a 15% discount. Before the price hike. I can live without the new movement.

Personally, I don’t even get the need. My watch keeps perfect time. No need for a new movement for me.

I will see if I can source the glidelock. But I’m not too worried about it. It’s prety much perfect as is.

How much do you think the glidelock will cost? I may try to purchase one too.

I got mine a few weeks before Basel with a substantial discount. While the glide lock may be a nice upgrade, getting the watch properly sized is easy to do as well.
I’m still in the honeymoon phase with mine, but I would consider sourcing the glidelock if it’s not too much to change out.
In Canada, there was a $1400 price adjustment for the new model. How much if that $1400 is the glidelock difference remains to be seen.

You're going to need a whole new clasp. It isn't going to be cheap. I know I asked my AD about an RG Easylink clasp from the Daytona when I was evaluating alternatives. The answer was that the entire clasp would be about $7,000 USD. I would imagine it is even more with the glidelock component.

I called RSC abut the new clasp and to see if I could buy one to replace the non glidelock clasp. I was told that they haven't seen one yet and aren't sure about the fitment and how it might affect other things such as the rubber piece sizing. She also said that they don't know if Rolex will allow it to be done yet or if they'll consider the new version as a separate category (which would mean they would not allow it). I was told to check back in a couple of months when they start deliveries.

Last year my AD hooked me up with an Easylink, it fits perfectly on the YM clasp.

Can I ask if you bought it from an AD ?
Reason for asking is I tried one on a couple of weeks ago at my AD, and was told 4-6 weeks for a new Oysterflex as they don't have them in stock (I have small wrists) and basically said 3% discount take it or leave it as they have other people interested.

Actually, my AD didn’t charge me for it. The Easylink fit right on my existing clasp. Funny enough, the Rolex website initially advertised the Easylink on this watch. TBH, I was going to flip it before I got the Easylink. With it, it’s much more comfortable.

I was told by my Ad today that Rolex wont supply the Glidelock clasp for purchase. That isn't to say you will not be able to get one underhandedly somehow but through legit channels it looks to be a no go at least for now.

The grey market hasn't caught on that the 116655 is being replaced with a newer movement and a glidelock clasp. Prices are the same. If I were them, I'd drop the price... :-)

The new one is something like $1400 more, plus it's not out yet, and when it does come out it probably won't see immediate discounts that can rival the 116655.

Well lets see what thet marked will request after all.
I guess there will be no big drop on the 116655 models.

For the easylink ... might be worth a try but not really necessary for me.

Nothing wrong with the old movement testet million times and several years.
I dont need Glidelock for sure!
