Get familiar with a sales person at a local AD. Start stopping by and let them know of your interest in these models. Ask them if they can text you the next time they get one in and can let you try it on (even if that particular watch is spoken for). If you develop a decent enough relationship with a sales person (you don't necessarily need purchase history for this) they shouldn't have a problem showing you the watch so long as you can make it over there quickly before the watch is collected.

I'd probably feel a bit uncomfortable if a stranger straight up asked me if he could try my watch on. It's all situational though. I once let someone try on my DaytonaC but that was at my AD and the person was right next to me and clearly knew a bit about watches (he wasn't just in the store to "buy a Rolex").

The person asking me would have a better chance of trying on my boxers than any watch that I'm wearing.

A "reasonable" stranger? NFW.

A perfect stranger, however . . . .

Larry sounds cool, if you ask me. This one's safe, even with 2 legs.

I am sorry, but you'd have to be a fool to let a stranger try your watch on in public.

Absolutely not, although I don't mind at my AD where they have an armed security guard standing there eyeing us and blocking the exit.

probably more foolish to let them try it on in private though, right?

"since you asked on this very public street, my answer is going to be no. However, how about we step into the alley and i would be more than OK with you trying on my 10k watch"

When I purchased my Tudor GMT some guy walked into the AD asking if he could try it on, I was happy to let him try it on however, the AD was adamant on me making payment before he tried it on #atyourownrisk

Um, I don't consider an alley private.

If I was at my friend's house (that's private) and one of his friends (that I didn't know) was there, I'd probably make an exception for him. The friend of a friend in my friends house....lol

I didn't really feel like writing all possible scenarios earlier. In a nutshell, no way, no how in public is my watch coming off my wrist. Including in alleyways.

I'm in Seattle in May, come try my TT Bluesy on, or I can send it on first then pick it up when I get there
