Incoming and review for a rare piece
Thanks to the pictures and reviews on TRF I finally decided to buy my own SS GMT Pepsi and I am speechless how beautiful it is! The pictures here are great but they are not doing the justice for the real appearance.
The colors on the bezel change all the time to colors I couldn't have imagine to see on a timepiece! I was honestly scared that there red would be "pink-ish" but this is not the case at all. Mostly I have a dark wine red or dark classic red with a very dark navy blue. The 2 attached pictures are showing the color the watch has most of the time. The Jubilee gives the watch a nice bling factor and the attention this rare time piece deserves. It also wears more comfortable than the Oyster and (as we all know) the Jubilee handles scratches much better (it scratches like the Oyster but you won't notice them). The lugs are slightly smaller than on the previous version, that's a plus as it looks more balanced IMHO. I'm glad the GMT hand is red with a white arrow as it fits smoothly on the dial. Rolex once again nailed it |

It’s not pink because you have the mark2 insert

Nice watch but not rare, many hundred in the world now, over the next few years thousands like most all modern Rolex.

Mark2
The first inserts came out pink, the second generations are red. I've heard many people are smashing their older watches with the mark1 bezels against door frames to crack the bezels so they can send in for replacement with the newer red bezel. |

Thank you and yes... I should have called it hot piece instead of rare piece but to be honest... it is rare as not many of the SS GMT Ceramic Pepsi are out there and it will take some years of production to flood the market.
My AD received an impressive amount of 3 (3!!!) after its release. Could be that Rolex keeps the supply short on purpose. I wish everyone good luck with the hunt! I almost went TS (DavidSW) as I couldn't get the watch itch out of my system |
