New Arrival - my new Datejust!
Just picked it up at the AD next to my office an hour ago. I decided I needed a "dress" watch so I was looking at DJ's and OP's. I started out wanting the DJ 36, silver stick dial, domed bezel, with Jubilee bracelet. But after trying on a few, I ended up really falling in love with the white stick dial, and decided the domed bezel just looks better with the oyster bracelet. Very excited about it, feels so good on my wrist compared to my GMT-II.
(And all the staff in the store were oogling my Series K GMT-II as I was trying on the DJ, which was very gratifying!) So now I have "a collection" -- of sorts! -Dan |

I think I like the current DJ 36 dials better than the new ones. Nice pick up.

Forgive my ignorance, but is that a roulette date wheel, or are all numbers red? Looks sweet!

Congrats. I think the 36mm is the perfect size for such a classic watch. The smooth bezel and the roulette date wheel really set this one off. Enjoy it!

Congrats! That is an extremely clean dial. Haven't noticed many 36mm DJ's of late. What a fantastic pick up. Love the roulette date wheel when it's on red. It really pops.

Thanks for the comments everyone! I'm very pleased with it. I still love my trusty 40mm GMT-II, but somehow the 36 size on this watch just seemed right, especially on my skinny 6 1/4 inch wrist. It's very comfy, and I love the advances Rolex made on the bracelet over my 2001 GMT -- much more solid looking and feeling, nice detail with the polished inner links, and the quick adjust is really handy. I feel it's a great pair to my GMT. And nice to see my name on the warranty card (my GMT was bought in the second-hand market).
