I have a milgauss that is less than two years old and is worn every day therefore does receive a decent amount of abuse from occasionally being hit into things and whatnot. Recently it stopped working properly, it stops every few minutes and when I shake it I hear a lot of movement inside the watch. The pieces sound to be moving very un-smooth. I will take it to my AD but am curious if anybody knows if this is going to be a very big\expensive problem to fix.

from your post it does sound like something inside the watch might be loose , you can ask an estimate from your RSC but may end up having it fixed anyway . prolonging it may cause serious problems . am also curious to what caused it. Hope its not serious in any way.

The rotor weight maybe unriveted from the rotor axle. See your local watchmaker as soon as possible. Do not wear your watch in that state.

I would pull the crown out to stop the watch and take it to service before wearing it again. If nothing is moving, you have a better chance of not breaking anything else. GL.

I was told the automatic wheel or spring was shattered\broken. I could have been told incorrectly but it does work now though I am having issues with the internal sounds when shaking it next to my ear. I addressed this in a new post. I did not want to wait for Rolex so I had it done at my local AD, and was charged $300, which included a well needed polishing.

stop beating up that beautiful watch!

time to take it to the 5th Avenue RSC or a very expensive, but reliable shop, like Central Watch(at Grand Central Terminal).....other NY Members may know some better options...

Don't hold it up to your ear and shake it.............
