In many ways it’s good they are that different. You can switch up depending on mood etc. Either way, it’s lovely in white.

Is white dial selling on grey market for over retail. Flip for a small profit and wait for the blue dial.

Looks big on your wrist. I had both the white and blue dials and sold both, they looked too big on my 6.5in wrist.

I own the white dial in a TT and use it as my dress watch. If you are looking for a watch to wear in less formal settings i would wait for the blue.

Sky-d SS in any color is simply awesome. Nome of them are easy to get from an AD, so I would buy one in a heartbeat as long as it sings to you

I personally think the SkyD with white dial looks really classy.

Congrats ! it looks awesome.
I just put a deposit on a white Sky D today. I was told that they received the last one they ordered in less than 4 months. Now the waiting fun begun.

Sky D is a beautiful watch in all three colors.

Go for it.

To be honest Blue is just a hype now a days.

Was referring to the OP, who also mentioned bigger, heavier clunkier than 40mm BLNR...another sign of a watch that sits large on a smaller wrist. Beautiful watch, but not as comfortable as a 40mm. I'm sure larger wrists probably don't feel the effect as much from a tall"ish" case.

Looks great on your wrist, although I had the pleasure of owning both, ultimately thought they didn't sit as comfortable. Obviously it comes down to preference, but similar to the OP, I felt it was a tad top heavy for me.

The white dial was my favorite until I saw the blue in person. The sunburst effect is awesome, the dial is alive. Wait for the blue if you can, but also know it’s a very hard get. Some ADs have yet to get a single blue after getting multiple whites and blacks. Good luck with your choice either way, it’s a unique and fantastic movement in the Rolex lineup. Best, Tom

Wait for the blue. The SkD is a large watch. Unless you have a really large wrist, blue or black will help to visually decrease the apparent size.

Agree with your assessment. Definitely a top heavy watch, I'm a 6.5" er as well I'm coming from Panerai though, so the size is quite comfortable for me. But I do mainly wear it in a casual setting.

Just love this thread with OP posting wrist shots of his new white face SkyDweller that he bought months ago and is really happy with and others are chiming in saying how he should not buy the white but wait for blue instead!

Hard to believe those blue dial ones command a 6-7K increase on the grey market, even over TT gold. But they are nice.

Yes, coming from Panerai will definitely ease the transition. I've always wanted a Panerai, but can't find one in 40mm that I like. The ones I want are 44mm at the minimum.

This is quite common around these parts, read and reply to the first post even in a multi-page thread.

I’m on a waiting list for a blue SD as well to offset my Explorer 2 Polar and SubC. I wear the Explorer most of the time as it is (to me) more comfortable than the Sub. Can anyone else please comment on the weight and height of the SD as I’m a bit concerned about it?
