Travel Case
All - I just had one of my daughter's watches serviced and will be returning it to back to her soon. She is a flight attendant and pretty much lives out of her suitcase for the most part and travels extensively.
Being that she is limited to space in her luggage, size is of somewhat importance. I could give it back to her in the case that it was returned from service in, but it is substantially large. I have also thought about giving her one of my watch pouches, but they really do not afford that much protection. Any ideas? |

I use my Rolex service pouches in my carry on. They offer plenty of protection considering that I put it on an interior padded pocket.
I like that these pouches are slim in profile, so they don’t take up much space and can fit just about anywhere. |

I use a watchpod whenever I am traveling. I have never had any issues and it does'nt take up much space.

If an RSC/AD/boutique would sell you their pouch thing that they use for shipping, do that.

I just roll the watch up in a cotton sock. Stick the toe in between the case and the bracelet, wrap it a few times and then turn out the end over the roll and you are good to go. In luggage, to me, this takes up very little room, affords full protection and just looks like a rolled-up sock to people looking into the case if they have to.

If this is not too big, it’s what I use. You can’t beat the price either.

Ed, if the watch is coming back from an RSC, it should come back in this. Much sturdier than the old felt pouch.

Thanks for all the input. I do like the sock trick, but as she told me "Dad, I only wear peds" My reply, what the hell is a ped?????
Apparently they are socks that only cover from the heel to the toe. I believe that I'm leaning towards the watch pod for her. |

I like the old felt style too. Small and feels safe and soft

I always go really high end when I travel, I wrap my watch(es) in a sock It provides great padding and definitely hides in plain sight.
