Intro and My First Rolex
Good evening everyone,
As the title says, I wanted to introduce myself and to show off my first Rolex. After university I went to the Army for a number of years and recently released to take a non-military related job in private industry. Things have been going very well so I decided to treat myself to something nice. After reading up on this forum extensively, and watching a bunch of youtube videos by watchfinder I decided a vintage Datejust was right for me. After looking for several months I finally found the right watch at the right price. A recently serviced DJ 16030, with a champagne face, from my birth year. I have attached some pictures with my trusty G-Shock that I wore throughout my army career. Looking forward to buying some more watches in the coming years and to contribute to the forum from time to time. |

I remember as a kid sometimes seeing these on well-heeled business mens wrists. The jubilee bracelet on these is simply the best looking vintage bracelet of all time.
