Odd Breitling trend - anyone else seen this?

Like many collectors, I enjoy hitting the little independent brick and mortar shops for pre-owned pieces especially - for example, I once snagged an early 80s Oyster Date Perpetual, LNIB w/sticker, for around 1500 USD out the door in a local pawnshop.

Lately all of the usual haunts around me have seen a flood Breitlings, however. I live on the lower Atlantic coast, and it seems that for the last year or so, every time I stop in a pawn dealer, estate jeweler, or even the high end vintage & resale stores, more than any other 'premier' make, I find large case Breitlings, usually chronographs. I've looked at quite a few, and haven't seen any noticeably fake; heck I admit I myself added a nice Colt auto - I'm just wondering if any other collectors out there are seeing this increasing supply of local small store pre-owned Breitlings that seems to be the trend around here.

As one brand reaches new heights, people look to others. Breitling made some iconic pieces, particularly chronographs.
