A stainless day date is completely appropriate. The PM doesn't make it any more special than any other PM Rolex. IMO, all Rolex should be available in SS, Plat, Gold, particularly the SkyD. It is the most complicated and useful complication for most, a real looker and great presence. If the SkyD is stainless, why not the DD? DD is a step down for me. Keep in mind some $50K PP are only SS.

And add to the SS woes? + PM is on another level. I tried a WG sky-Dweller on last weekend, wow, that thing blew my mind...something to aspire to...just like the DD.

If they ever did this I would know Rolex was no longer the brand for me.

I'd be running and running far and fast away from the brand. Many I know would do the same.

It’s a legend. Offering it is steel would tarnish that legendary status.
It actually would decrease my interest in getting one, not increase it.
The Date Just is a fine SS watch and covers that market very well.

I don't think they will and i don't wish for one. The Day Date's bracelet in 904 steel would cost too much to develop to only throw on one model. Exactly why you see the Jubilee on the GMT Master (besides differentiating from WG models). It's a lose lose for Rolex

I think it would be outstanding. An iconic watch in everyday wearable form. Rolex won’t do it though. Tudor do!

A DD and DJ are the same watch. Different bracelet. The infatuation for these is beyond me.

I'm a huge fan of stainless steel watches. I much prefer them over PM. But for the DD, it seems like sacrilege to make it in SS. The DD needs to remain PM-only.

The DD was a grail piece for many years and one of the reasons why, was because it was made of PM.

Personally, I hope that Rolex NEVER make it in S/S as it would lessen the statue that it has achieved.
