Not worth it. IMO don't need the sub if you already have the black GMT.

You can easily make an argument for the watches in question being different beasts and you'd have a point. But for me they are too similar in appearance. and size. I would chose a black GMT over a black Sub (if I had any choice) and get a Blusey or a Hulk if I wanted to expand my collection with a Sub.

That's what I'd probably do. But I'm not the OP, who should do what suits them, not what suits me. I think that if there is a doubt, you probably don't want it all that badly and it will quickly find a good home.

Too similar to me. I'd personally pick the one I want and get rid of or don't but the other one.

GMT II and Sub C are very different watches at least IMO.
I'm looking at these two as one being diver and the other traveler watch.
Not to mention they're different inside-out.
Good luck with your decision

I think they are too similar. I would get a hulk if possible. Or sell the GMT, get the sub and buy a BLNR.

I bought mine eleven years ago, and NEVER regretted the purchase. I can't say what you should do, so I will just say that instead! If it smiles at you, jump to it.

If you are making this decision on aesthetics alone, then I would pass and pursue an LVc. If you will use it because you like to dive, then by all means do it. Because they are very similar looks-wise, this decision has to come down to the utility value of the watches. Good luck. BTW, there's not really a bad decision here :-)

If you have to ask the question, then you don’t really want it.

EVERY respecting man should have a Sub in their collection. I don't care if you have a yacht master or sea dweller, if you don't have a Submariner you suck!

To me two totally different watches. I would say no-brainer if it were a n114060 no date, that WOULD be different no cyclops etc. anyway - I have a GMT and I have 2 subs, I consider them all different. Good luck!

I don't understand "you don't need a sub if you have a GMT" - It's not even close to the same watch...confused, respectfully of course.

I don't know what the OPs tastes are but I think these two models just look too similar. I know one has PCLs, the other brushed and, the bezels are different but color wise and at first glance they just seem the same to me.

To each their own but I like each piece in my collection to look noticeably different.

Get it. They're not THAT similar.

The GMT has thinner lugs and tapers nicely to the bracelet. Plus the GMT has a flatter caseback. And the crown protectors are not as bulky and thick. The bracelet has the PCLs. Its a more elegant watch.

The Sub appears boxier due to thicker lugs and has the fully velvet brushed bracelet. It sits higher due to the thick caseback.
