Icon10 ~ Rolex Submariner on G10 Bond NATO ~

Well it took me a while, but I finally got a shot of my Submariner on a Nato that I’m happy with.

Enjoy…

Nice pix.
I will put my son's sub on a NATO strap until he can wear the bracelet.

My DD cyclops look just like your cyclops - slightly out of square. More noticible at certain angles. No problem really.

Guys, what about the date magnifier or cyclops if you like?

Are they sometimes glued on a little crooked? I think mine is slightly crooked or at least it gives that effect.

What do you think?

That looks great.

I think I may have to get myself a NATO and try it out.

They're really very comfortable. They also isolate the caseback from direct contact with your wrist; which is great when it's very hot.

I throw mine in with the wash after a couple of weeks to keep it fresh. They don't last forever though.

I've noticed that on my Tudor chrono. I wonder if the cyclops is installed crooked or if the crystal is turned slightly?
Anyway, the nato looks good.

Thanks Dan Pierce and Warrenmich...hey do you think we should start a crooked crystal club? (just kidding)

Actually Dan I think your theory makes sense. It takes the error away from the manufacturing of the crystal and gives it to the assembly of the watch. Pressing a crystal in, one tenth of a degree out, is much easier to understand and accept.

Well I got myself a Bond NATO and a Black Rhino strap, and I am impressed.

I like the look and the comfort. I also notice it makes it harder to pick out that I am wearing a Rolex, and I like that

Great pic! I love the nato, getting one for my SD. I tried to but it on an olive drab strap but couldn't get the bracelet off. I'll have to take it to a shop tomorrow.

I was watching Goldfinger the other day in High Def and I paused the picture when it showed a close-up of his Rolex. Now in looking at the Nato strap there were thin red stripes on either side of the grey stripes. So from what I can see a real "Bond" Nato strap should be three toned. Anyone else notice this?

The 16610 looks great on a NATO strap, IMHO.
