New to the Market Help
Hey guys,
New member here (been lurking for quite a few months now). First off I just want to say thank you for all the valuable information you guys post on this forum. Just in the little time I have been a member I have acquired an abundance of information. With that being said, I am looking for my grail watch which would be a 36mm DD YG. I live in the Boston area. Was wondering if you guys had any tips to find this dream watch, I would preferably like to buy one used, should I perhaps start calling AD in the local area? or stay looking on this forum? Thank you for your time, any tips appreciated |

I would perhaps hold out for a local member to give some advice and recommend some trusted sellers that cover your area.
I / we mostly recommend you buy the seller when going used. They usually always acquire solid stock, know what to buy and what not to buy / they do their du diligence. Consider you price range. New could attract a 20-25% discount. You may have to go back older to give enough cost saving to make it worth it; just throwing that out there |

If it's your grail as you say, to me that means a forever keeper. If you can get a discount as mentioned of 20-25% I would go new and get the full AD experience, warranty card in your name etc. l keep thinking a WG DD40 may be calling me. If l know l want it for a keeper and not just a conquest l will pursue a new one if l can get it from my AD with a 25% min.discount. Welcome to the forum and hoping you find your DD36

I would check out the forum but also speak to some of the ADs in New Hampshire. I would like to think that they would discount a little bit on a DD and you'll be saving on sales tax.

Thank you |

There's one sitting in the display case at my AD...but you'd have to make the trip to KY. They don't sell over the phone.

Try Paul Duggan or European Watch Company in Boston. Good luck, you will love the DD!

+1 to European Watch Co. Right on Newbury and their collection is also online, so you can research before you go in. They are generally also able to help you source what you're looking for.

New to the Market Help
I’d hangout in the forums for 6 months before purchasing.
There are a ton of first class gold Rolex watches available! You may be tempted buy a Daytona, for example. |

If your going new I would try Longs Jewelers in Nashua NH. If you looking to buy used I would buy CPO from Tourneau in Burlington MA. I have had great experiences from both.

Although I've never shopped there, there is also springer's in New Hampshire, I've heard good things.
