Stainless Steel Daydate

Does any forum member wish that Rolex will release a stainless steel Daydate for collector to compete their collection. I have a collection of the steel models, include the 6062 and Dato-complex. The only one missing is a modern steel Daydate.

I just realized that philips had an auction for a prototype steel Daydate.

No. I like the fact that there is a line preserved for precious metal only. It keeps it special. IMO anyway.

As much as I would love to own stainless DD but I definitely don’t want to dilute the iconic President watch.

There is a stainless day date prototype that sold via Christie’s or Sotheby’s. That watch didn’t have a model number from what I recall. There’s also the 6611... the only SS day date reference that was actually sold to the public. Unfortunately a grand total of six saw the light of day. One sold in 2002 for $50k chf... so prob a $100-200k usd watch by now.

I got the white gold 118329. It fits in well with an otherwise stainless collection.

Dont like to see another SkyDweller situation, but nothing is ever excluded. Stick dial DayDate?

Two tone might be nice and a welcome addition to Rolex portfolio.

I've always associated the Day Date with with PM prestige. I had no idea they made some SS ones. I hope they don't go SS on this icon. I doubt they will, but with Rolex you never know. I have given the Tudor DD an odd glance from time to time. I don't want to come off snobbish, but from my subjective perspective, it would feel to me like I was pretending. There are some things I can't have and this is a good thing. At least in my little universe. And who knows, one day......

That’s what the DJ is for. I actually hope they don’t make the DD in SS, it would definitely dilute the line for me and wouldn’t make me want one as bad.
