3 Piece Collection

So I currently have a ceramic daytona 116500 black dial, and just put a deposit on a Hulk 116610LV. Would the Pepsi ceramic be the best way to round out a trio? Chrono, diver, and GMT. I feel like I can wait for the Pepsi to be closer to retail before I pull the trigger.

I would consider a white explorer 2 just to give it more balance.

I previously owned a black 42mm explorer, and I think I like the 40mm form factor on my 7” wrist. Though I prefer the white over black EX2.

I think in a year I’ll be able to get one from my AD or pay $12-13k for a grey market watch.

I didn't mean to be ride it was just the way I read it originally, I thought 'good luck with that one'

If you get one from your AD then fair enough, but grey dealer prices at $12k in a year???

I put this watch in the same category as the SS Ceramic Daytona.

Demand will always outstrip supply, therefore premiums will continue to rise with grey dealers, not fall.

In another year, don't be surprised to see grey dealers asking close to $20k.

I love the sub, daytona, gmt combo. I'm pursuing this myself. I have the LVc, CHNR, and I'm anxiously waiting for the daytona call from my AD.

I dig this idea. Would love to have that trio myself, but I can't part with the over $ retail madness on the Daytona.

I agree that they probably wont get down to the 12k range in a year, but 20k I highly doubt. People just dont seem willing to pay that much for the Pepsi. It already seems to have settled around 17-18k from the most reputable sellers.

If you truly love all 3 of those pieces, then more power to you, go for it, and enjoy them.

But to me these are the cliche 3 modern sport Rolex's you buy if you have the money and are willing to pay the premium.

All 3 are part of this crazy Rolex shortage and I feel like everyone is playing into their hands thinking.....they are hard to get, and so I want one.

Again if you love the BLRO, get it. But don't get it just cuz it's what's hot right now.... Or do... whatever you want.

It could take quite a few years for the SS Blro to get close to retail on the grey market considering the Blnr history.

Three winners.

Only counter point would be white D5, hulk, blnr

I’ve seen unworn ceramic Pepsi’s hitting $16k on the forum... I think within a year I’d be able to get one for $13k... it seems like the price trajectory is heading towards retail. But I agree, there’s gonna be a premium for a long time.

Sounds like a plan , be aware that the Daytona wears smaller than your other 40mm, but depending on what you want an wrist size that can be a good thing.

I like The white Daytona and if I can get one at retail I'll buy it , my problem with the SS is that is a Sports model with a dress watch size.

Yeah, I already have the Daytona, and agree it wears smaller than the 40mm supercase sub and GMT. The Daytona feels great on my 7” wrist.

It really depends on what you're looking for. I would suggest taking your time and enjoying (or not) what you have, which will point you in the direction of what's next. Just my two cents.

Great advice. I think I’m just gonna live with my pair: DaytonaC and Hulk, and see what sings to me next. My fiancé agreed to get me a Tudor GMT as a gift... so I may go that route, and add a dress watch to round off the collection. I’ve always loved the Lange 1.
