Icon8 Submariner 114060 stopped running

While I was winding my Submariner no date, I heard a small pop sound and the watch stopped running while winding the watch lost its resistance. Any idea what might have happened?

As a second question, would you recommend taking it to an AD to be serviced or sending it in to a Rolex service center?

From your description, the main spring may have broken. RSC over AD.

Should be an easy fix, hopefully it's still under warranty.

Sounds like the main spring gave up the ghost. Easy enough to fix. I would say stop by your AD and see where it goes from there.

Purchased in 2017 so warranty has unfortunaly ran out. Still quite suprised that it completely gave out before the 10 year recommended service period. Let's see what one of the ADs in Côte d'Azur says.

AD first, they can send it into RSC for you if they need to go that route

Second the mainspring - could also be an issue with the keyless works.
