How do I ship my 3700?

I am the proud new owner of a 3700, my first ever Patek! - currently working with my dealer to ship it to me - any tips for me regarding how to pack it? I once had a royal oak who’s bracelet wasn’t secured properly and it ended up twisting in a less than ideal way. Want to ensure that doesn’t happen on this one. Should I just ask him to disconnect the bracelet or is there some other way that works best?

Can always have them close the bracelet around a piece of foam or tightly wound bubble wrap to keep it supported in transit? Before additional packing of course.

That's how I've always done it.

If you're dealing with a good dealer they should have a good way to ship it to you securely. I am sort of confused by the question and worried for you why the dealer would need your input on shipping. Presumably they ship watches all day everyday. This is a bit if a yellow flag I'd say.

He’s a great guy to deal with, have done many transactions before. I just like to be extra sure that things are done the best way possible, rather not leave it to fate.

I agree with Tinka. For the price of a 3700, have the dealer pack it in a travel case and then pack the travel case.

Why risk it? Just fly there and pick up in-person. No reason to risk getting stolen or damaged in transit.

big congrats on a wonderful piece
Perhaps that is the best way since that that is how it comes out of the manufacture. close the bracelet around a piece of foam and then wrap it tightly with protective film tape or bubble wrap

Please save us all the stress and fly to pick it up… why risk the package being lost.

Congrats btw! I own 2 3700’s and they are incredible!

The dealer should know best way- it’s his/her job ! And if it arrives broken, then send it back. If you make certain requirements of him/her on how to ship it and something happens, then you may have no recourse.

That would be the dealers concern. I seriously doubt they will poorly pack a 6 figure watch. Have a drink relax and enjoy your new Patek.
