I love these forums - THANK YOU

I just wanted to say thank you to the owner/founder/mods and of course, all the members.

This is a great place, I love the good threads, and also the even the crappy ones. It’s all good fun.

So every morning when I’m having my coffee, I come here, get my hit of dopamine reading the latest threads, reacting to Jocke’s hilarious pictures of Paul… I check the Rolex, Patek and AP forums… all after checking the General forums (the diamond of this place)….

Anyway..

Been here for about 6 years, but lurking since like 2010 (I think Steve or a Mod should modify that for me, it would be more accurate!). I think I’ll be here until the end.

Agreed. I’ve learned so much about watches, and appreciate my watch even more (and likely contributed to my buying more and more of them…).

The mods are also good at making sure this is a civil place. I do enjoy people sharing their sense of humor. We all like expensive watches that no one really needs, but they do transform the simple act of telling time into something elegant and special. It’s nice to know that I’m not the only person who gets a little thrill looking at my watch to tell the time. Try explaining that to a non-WIS.

We’ve also head the phrase to get a watch that “sings to you.” The subjective nature of taste underpins everyone’s opinion here, and I do appreciate how we can express our opinions of various watches, models, dial options, etc. without people being hyper-sensitive and offended. Not a fan of the Milgauss. Fine. The lack of a date on a Daytona is a deal-breaker for you. Fine. Want to debate changes to the Submariner. Fine. The community here is motivated by a love of these watches, and I appreciate the robust, good-natured informative discussions here.

It's been a fun ride so far... Some great people, times and watches! HOWEVER, I don't to tell you all but you have some serious Watch Issues!

Reading this while having my coffee and totally agree :) TRF was also a pleasant escape when I had some other rough times on in my life…being able to spend some time here and tune out reality was actually awesome and therapeutic.

Made some fabulous friends and connections. Met a few personally and plan to meet many more one day up live and close. Like many, I frequent other forums such as the car forums which I am passionate about and let me tell you, they are not as nice and forgiving as TRF. Love you all….even the resident Flexer price tag dude!

Nicely said and completely agree. Certainly learning quite a bit in my short time. Also been fairly expensive - I have definitely picked up more pieces than I planned after seeing or discussing them on the forum! Such a nice group of members... Thanks!
