First one is fantastic. Subsequent ones in my opinion not so much.

Just watched No Sudden Moves over the weekend and really enjoyed that one. A bit different from most movies now days and I always love these crime drama sort of movies quite a bit, even had a bit of humor to it all. Would definitely recommend. (Full disclaimer I did finish half a bottle of tequila watching it so if I’m way of base someone let me know. Lol)

Would you recommend any other Villeneuve movies?
Arrival and Bladerunner 2049 for Denis... and DEFINITELY make time for DUNE in October.

I have not seen that, but I have seen Mann's Theif (1981) with James Caan... it's the film Heat is based on.

for what its worth... I thoroughly enjoyed Guy Ritchies newest for crime drama... Wrath of Man... great soundtrack to that film also.

It’s been decades since I watched ‘Trees Lounge’. I loved it. Buscemi is so good. Played a slightly similar, broken character in ‘Ghost World’—a bit of a stretch I admit, but there are enough similarities and I just wanted to namecheck an old favourite!

First was Steve Buscemi acted/directed Trees Lounge (1996)... A great ACTION PACKED no holes bared STAR PACKED thriller about a guy that always gets the girl and the destruction that he leaves in his wake as he sidles his way thru life.

If you like British, 'black' comedy, .....Love, Honour and Obey' is an absolute hoot!
Jude Law, Ray Winstone, Kathy Burke to name just a few of a superb cast.

Ghost World is magnificent... one of the best comic book adaptions ever.

Enjoyed it though.

I absolutely loved it.

We endured SOLDADO last night, mostly completely implausible nonsense.
Not a patch on SICARIO.

Muhammad Ali on PBS. I grew up watching his fights in the late 60’s and 70’s and he certainly was a character, man of conviction, divisive, sharp witted, sharp tongued and a hell of a boxer. Ken Burns does what he always does. He make fantastic documentaries.

Recently watched The Great Silence, a western that stars Klaus Kinsky and Jean-Luis Trintignant. Probably one of the most brutal endings of any western I've seen.
