Anyone have experience with Patek ADs offering/allowing discounts on ladies models?
looking at the 7234g - WG blue dial travel time. i have smaller 6.3" wrists so i think this fits much better than the 42mm version. wondering if it's worth effort to haggle at retail, build a relationship, and have papers with my name on it or if it's not possible, to just buy on the secondary market (it's approx. a 20% savings on grey and no tax vs. MSRP + tax).

unfortunately 7234g is not the ladies, but unisex model. my experience says the AD neither offers a discount nor consider this as a valuable purchase.

I’m in Hong Kong, this reference gets you 10% off no haggling required. The 5524G also attracts a 10% discount. In terms of relationships, it’s not enough to get you an aquanaut or nautilus straight up, but could kick start your purchase history.

Must be hard for ADs to give discount and then give hot pieces. It was different many years ago when hot pieces were just 'Luke warm' and they had to entice by discount and sports but why would they do such a thing now.

I know some ADs will offer discounts on everything other than those that are specified by Patek as undiscountable. (Basically all Cala/Comp/Grand Comp including 2021 new models) |

so HK is a yes to potential discounts, Sydney/Australian/UK is a no, any US folks to chime in? lol
@mini2 - that's a good point, if they did budge and gave a discount, they'd probably be more reluctant to see the purchase as a building block towards something else since i shrunk their profit margin... @huydoan - technically i believe patek classifies it as a ladies piece on their website, but don't get me wrong, i personally believe it should be unisex, so anyone reading this that's also interested in the watch shouldn't feel discouraged from getting it if it fits their wrist as well. |

Recently had a small discount on 2 men’s pieces purchased together although they are older models I believe. The 5950r and the 5960 roughly around 5%
