233 prices
Hello all.
I just bought myself a new to me AP, but a friend is offering me a 233 as well. Possibly making it an expensive month...but I've always loved the 233. It would be my first Panerai, but I've been in love with the 127 and 233 specifically since they came out and I tried them on as a poor college student. I just have no idea what the market looks like for these nowadays. I can see listed prices on Chrono24 etc, but who knows what they are actually selling for. I just want to be sure we're both getting a fair deal. It's a dot dial. In great shape with no real marks beyond the usual for a 9 year old watch. Has box and papers. He's asking $7500. Any advice would be hugely appreciated. And then, Oh boy. The strap possibilities!!! |

Around £5.5k -£6.5k in the UK. I have the dot dial 2008 model and love it. Go for it!

233 is a great watch. I really enjoy mine. I prefer the am/pm, but both are great. Make sure to understand what is included in the set. You will want full box and papers to maintain the value. Research the seller to make sure they are legit. Enjoy the 233.

Dot dial would be in the 7K zone while am/pm in the 6K. Keep in mind that a service might be due for around $800 so try to see if you can get it for closer to $7,000.

Thank you all. Bought it this morning, expecting delivery tomorrow.
Comes with box, papers, warranty booklet, and original tags. So pretty complete. Running well, but I do suspect it'll need a service in the next few years. But, well cared for watch, so I can deal with that. Definitely my favorite Panerai as well. Love the gmt and power reserve complication. And the case and crystal make it the perfect watch from Panerai for me. Looking forward to posting more in the forum. |

The 233 dot is the most important modern panerai and bound to be a must have collector watch. It is the first Panerai to be fitted with an in house complication, which is a big deal. Also it is less common than the am/pm since it was only made for a relatively short period of time. Great choice for sure.

i have 7.5 inch wrists.
wanted to buy a 233 for the longest time but after trying a 44mm vs 47mm case i went with a 422 (47mm) i would say try both sizes on first to determine . definately no go for anything less than 44

The 233 is a cool watch that I have never gotten around to owning. If the watch has never been serviced then you can add that in to the cost. The service will be $800-1200 depending on what they find. I would go back and negotiate with the seller and see if he will split the difference of the service cost off the watch. 6.5k to 7k would be where I would be, also understanding you will have the service at some point and be without the watch for 6-10 weeks. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

I'd say do it buddy. Get the watch. The prive your friend's asking is reasonable. But mayne you can get him to sell you abit cheaper and give you a "friend price" *wink.
I have the same watch but in rose gold 289. Sent from my SM-G965F using Tapatalk |

233 is an excellent Panerai. I have the am pm as I find that a bit more functional. Such a classic tne 233. $7500 is fair price if full set in excellent condition

233 is a very attractive watch. Just put it back to safe to rotate with another pam and I am already starting to think about it lol
