Dubai, UAE 5Star Resorts in July

Has anyone been to Dubai and stayed at one of these mega 5Star resorts..? Been to Dubai but will be first time trying out one of these types of places to stay at and of coarse hanging out at the MEGA Dubai Mall checking out all the watch boutiques will be a must..!

I stayed at the Burj al Arab one night. Best hotel ever (though the decor wasn’t to my taste). If you have the coin, you can’t beat this hotel IMO.

Yes I seen that one too on Travelocity, however we are taking 2 grand children ages 11 and 14 that want one of those water parks etc right at the hotel . The one I am pretty sure will be my choice is the The ATLANTIS the Palm. We are going to stay for one week just for the heck of it plus I want to take my bicycle again with me this time and cycle on the big cycling trail they have in the desert..

Your choice of hotels was $3800.00 per day with air tickets and the room per night times 7.....Errrrrrrr..!

You should have been more specific. And I did mention the coin.

For the kids, check out Global Village. There's an amusement park inside and a bunch of stores representing various countries that you can shop.

Nice view.

For your water loving grand kids, you might think about taking a drive up to Fujarah and doing a Discover Scuba dive in the Al Aqah area. Divers Down is a good dive center there. https://www.diversdownuae.com/produc...-scuba-diving/

Sheraton, Creek Side is reasonable, but a bit dated.

Madinat Jumeirah or one of the hotels in the resort is nice and a decent location.

You know it will be pretty hot in July?

Yes it sure will be toasty, however living in Sri Lanka 6 months out of the year, we are kind of use to the brutal heat and humidity of Sri Lanka..

Sounds like a great vacation for you and your grandkids. We were there in July 2017, and had a wonderful time. We look forward to going back next year. Although cycling in the July Dubai heat sounds...like an experience.

Since the summer months are off season you can get good deals at all the hotels. The high end ones will be 50% off compared to the winter months. There is no shortage of luxury hotels and plenty on Palm Jumeirah (the artificial island shaped like a palm tree). Some places like Atlantis may include access to the water parks in the price. Just keep in mind that it’s hot and humid in July (think 39 degrees in the middle of the night) so outdoor activities may be limited.

I quite honestly in really good shape for a 65 1/2 years old but i understand not invincible. Have done the ride before in November where temps were only about 34C and not 40+C but liking to give it a whirl.

Just about to buy the tickets with room at Atlantis The Palm for 6 nights and it comes to about USD$1600.00 per night for the 4 of us plus this includes round trip tickets from Detroit, Michigan USA..

ATLANTIS THE PALM in DUBAI

Well we decided on choosing the Atlantis The Palm for 7 nights coming up the middle of next month (JULY).. That mega water park will be a hit with the 2 grandsons and grandpa can go check out the Gold Soulk and The Dubai Mall Watch Boutiques...
