You get a real sports car......it better have 3 pedals on the floor & a stick shift!

From what I understand, they are not yet available.

But I haven’t looked. Of course, I’m sure they will be going forward.

Hard to argue.

I’ve got another sports car. No third pedal and it’s still quite magnificent. So. Very. Magnificent. However, I bet it’d be even better with one.

What are you talking about? You can get a manual transmission in every model available (Stingray, Grand Sport, Z06, ZR1)...

It is a lot of power but at the end of the day it’s still just a Mustang. There will be plenty of cars on the street to smoke it. No I’m not a mustang hater I have had 4 in the past from cobras to Saleens. They sound great but are not very fast

If you are getting smoked by plenty of cars while driving a cobra you are either:

a) Driving a Cobra II
b) Don't know how to drive
c) Getting smoked by cars that cost 2-5x more than the Mustang
d) Getting smoked by a lot of heavily modified cars

If it's a,b, or c not much you can do. If it's d, you realize the Mustang has more parts and modifications available for it than any other car in existence right?

Nice! Hadn’t seen this, thank you.
Pretty damn pricey CF / track pack! $10K for painted racing stripes...yikes!
I’ll stick to single color paint scheme (blue) GT350

No problem, those are just some of the highlights but everything is here:
https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/thr...ptions.124689/

I agree the price and options are a bit too high. It would be hard to pick this over the Z06 especially if you want a manual. However, I'm sure every one they make will sell. Can't wait to see all the numbers once the press get's a hold of it.

Do you have a GT350? If so, your car's value might have just risen some today with this announcement.

I do. Wouldn’t trade having at least one 3 pedal in the lineup! And the 350...a pure joy to drive, and listen to!

So they are just doing and face lift and it's not a new platform? If so that's called milking it for all it's worth.

Z06, that is almost ZR1 money, and 7/18 is coming when the C8 is finally reveled. And the ZR1 can be had the 7 speed manual!!!

Yes, however the Carrera T makes 370 hp with a 0-60 in 4.3s whereas the Shelby makes 760 hp and the 0-60 is expected to be in the mid 3 second range. Still have to wait to get all the official numbers. Not to mention the cost associated with owning a Ford vs a Porsche. Just depends on what is important to you.

I like a car that looks and feels like what I paid for it.

IMO

Not knocking the Stang, but they’re late to the party, and will be just another among several. As a life long car and hot rod enthusiasts, I just can’t grasp the application, except to go destroy it on the drag strip. Joe Dirt car on steroids.

797hp, 3.4 0-60, 10.4 quarter, $80k

Not sure how they were late to the party. Back in 2012 Shelby came out with a Mustang called the Shelby 1000 that boasted 950 hp or you could order it with the track package for 1,100 hp, both of which are street legal. Not to mention, how many years was the Mustang around before the Challenger came out and which has been in continuous production?

In fact the very first sentence on the Challenger Wikipedia page is:

"Introduced in fall 1969 for the 1970 model year, the Challenger was one of two Chrysler E-body cars, the other being the slightly smaller Plymouth Barracuda. Positioned to compete against the Mercury Cougar and Pontiac Firebird in the upper end of the pony car market segment, it was "a rather late response" to the Ford Mustang, which debuted in April 1964."

The context was modern, factory direct OEM, high HP, muscle car, not aftermarket, vintage, or history.

I think the Hellcat is useless also, just sayin the the mustang is not breaking any new ground.
