Icon4 5512/5513 (85') vs 114060 ('13/17')

Dear Enthusiasts,

I'm thinking about 5512/5513 from 1985 or 114060 from 2013 or 2017.

What is your opinion regarding future value. I'm reading a lot of sources and for example some of them are saying that Rolex has changed steel and it's not the same value like was in the past. Etc.

Can I ask you about your opinions regarding Sub No Date?

Thanks a lot.

BR
Krzysztof

Buy what you like. That’s what I gathered. Anything other than that - it’s just a number.

Couldn’t say it any better myself.
I asked others there thoughts between a Day Date and a GMT. Most said the Day Date, but man am I glad I went the other route cause my. Am I happy.

On that subject I have to go back on my words. Long time lurker here. Have strong feelings for both. DD and gmt. I say get both! GMT is more of a daily watch, DD is more suited for a slightly more formal occasion. All personal choices but I love both. But prices are sky high right now.

Beyond the aesthetics, Four digit Subs wear completely differently than 6 digit Subs. That would be the biggest deciding factor for me

You just have to look in the right places. There are deals to be had, just takes patience.

5512/13 are beautiful watches. They will get harder to find.
