Hi guy,
I am trying to buy a 5146g. How much discount should I ask for if buying from an AD. I called around and was offered 3% by an out of state AD. Is that a good deal.

Seeing that the grey market price for a new one is under mid 30's.....I'd say that's not cutting it heh.

Yes, but only for the AD.

Dont buy new....you will die on tbe resale...you will get a decent 2016 or better for £20k

Even if you call around other AD’s.. they typically won’t give their best price over the phone .. gotta show you’re a real customer

I would not expect much of the discount.....

The watch game has change, back then you could get a decent discount....

Even David SW our trusted seller give only 7% discount on the 5146R...^^^..

I would rather buy from the AD to get the full treatment, your name would be on your paper, plus you builds a relationship with your AD in case if you ever want a Patek sport watch in the future.....

ACs are not setting the world on fire in sales like sports watches. There's gotta be a decent double digit discount somewhere these days.

I mean no offense, but where can you get a 5146 for £20000? That's about $26k USD. Briefly looking around ones that price are circa 2005-2009. As @Sensui mentions low $30's seems more typical.

I ask because I am considering a white 5146g, grey dial.

I sold.mine last year for £20000 and had to almost beg. It.was on Chrono24 and only 2 years old. Another forum member bought one for under $20000 for a 2012

That was a heck of deal! Looking today, I can't find anything even coming close to that.
