Reminds me of an old moon phase, the dial style, even though it isn’t.

I've never seen one before. It's very detailed. This isn't the watch I'd choose to tackle if I were in the business of making fakes...

It has a 1950s vibe. Should the 6s/9s be open from this period? The number font on the outer date track is tickling my Spidey sense, but TBH I just don't know.

Can anyone make out the date stamp and model number in the caseback?

Thats a fantastic looking piece but ive never seen a model 6569 with a sub seconds that late into the 50s (1957) or an outer track date complication. I dont think its fake but it may very well be a pieced together watch. That dial looks amazing but IMO I think it has most definitely been restored.

Yep, I know some models shared casebacks, but that doesn't look like a 1957 dial to me. .

The date indicator is very JLC. Hope it's real. That 9 hour marker is sublime.

The listing says the dial has been redone

The movement is a 1030 automatic which isnt a sub second movement

The watch would be an amazing novelty if everything worked on it.

Yes, more clearly a redial based on those close-ups. The seller has declared this, though.

But still none of us has ever seen one, so...

I think the entire OP 6569 line has same caseback. The one in the picture may have never come with that watch.

Yeah, I just meant that the Air King 5500 used a 1002 caseback, stuff like that.

Julian

I think we agree thus far.

For the 1030 to be mated with an Analog Date complication using a center hand would seem to be a major piece of watchmaking.

Can the date train from an 1130 be lifted and integrated to a 1030 movement?

There was a guy that would convert your time only Patek, into a moonphase Patek.
I am guessing the same happened here.
