There it is at the exam table!

Haha

Not the best setup, I know, but it works for me

It’s done and on my wrist.

With the case centered this is where the clasp now sits

I will see how it wears and see if I notice a difference in the case moving outward and report back!

Watches even when sized correctly want to rotate a little toward the outside of your wrist. It's just gravity. When you think about the placement of your arms throughout the day, any time your arms are perpendicular to your body gravity is causing the watch to want to rotate outward. Even the best sized watch bracelet will do this a little.

I’m not sure I completely agree having each side having same number of links if total links are an even number.

I usually have to go with 4 links at the 6 and 6 links at the 12 to have everything nicely centered.

Agree- I've actually got 5/8 on the 6:00/12:00 sides (if odd total, you're either 1 or 3 fewer on one side, whereas you can hit the sweet spot of 2 fewer with an even total), and love the way it wears.

It looks better now. I’m hoping it works for you and that you’re happy with it. I myself have gone through this process quite a few times before eventually getting the ‘perfect’ setup. Good luck!

It depends on which watch model we are talking about. The clasp size varies from watch to watch.

I tried that on one of my watches and it drove me crazy. The clasp wound up being so close to the thumb side of my wrist. I liked the idea of "pulling" the watch toward your face some but I just couldn't get past how off centered the clasp was.

I found that easier than drawing on the picture like I did on the before pic lol

Looks like it's pretty well centered, from what I can tell. How does it feel?

It feels good!

And it looks like the watch case is staying center a little bit more than before

Hmm i never had a bracelet like that but I would think the crown should be in the middle? If not that would bother the hell out of me lol

It’s impossible to do that because the crown is how you open the clasp - it’s aligned with the non-hinged end where it snaps shut.

Im really ocd about the positioning. Particularly because the Rolex blade is so long if it’s off for me it’s highly irritating.

The crown is located at the very end of the clasp. It’s what you use to open the clasp

Alright guys, I am sorry to report that I may have to go back to the way I had the bracelet before

Why: the watch case still slides, I guess you just can’t beat gravity

Now when the watch case slides outward, the clasp is in an awkward position as seen below. And I can kinda feel the awkwardness on my wrist.

So I’m gonna put it back to how it was and call it the end of an experiment

Looks loose - might want to remove one more link before giving up.

That’s the thing!

Fits a little lose right now, but during the hot day, in the sun, it fits snug

Lol

With some free time on my hands, I realize the clasp on my watch is about a millimeter or two off center on my wrist.

I have read on here that it should be centered, and I am willing to center it, but also think that the less I mess with the sizing the better.

What do you guys think?

Is it worth it to center the clasp to see if it helps the rotating of the case toward the outside of the wrist?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I always hear there is a certain way to do it, at the 6'oclock etc. Keeping that side shorter. But I have all my clasps centered or as close to center as possible. I like how it keeps the watch squared up better and keeps it from rotating. At leasts on my small wrists! Some of my watches wear different due to the clasps it seems. So if any side is a link shorter its the 6 side.

I’m wondering if the clasp is engineered to stay centered, and thus will wiggle its way to the center, even if it means moving the watch case to the outside of the wrist

And by removing a link, I can probably achieve both the centered case, and the centered clasp.

Just wondering if that will help the case stay centered or if I will be wasting my time lol

I’m going through this issue right now as well. My sub isn’t sitting cleanly on my wrist either.

I am thinking about buying a half link and trying that. The links on the oyster bracelet are pretty big so removing or adding one makes a huge difference. Unfortunately, in my case it makes the watch either too big or too small, even with the micro adjustment feature. Maybe a half-link will solve this?
