Any word on when the NY distribution center is opening?

Any body have any updates on when North America will be receiving shipments? Most states are in some phase of reopening so the distribution centers must be opening soon, no?

I think Covid shut down Rolex-Switzerland production for a couple of months, so I doubt much new inventory is currently available for shipments to distribution centers.
Also, the AD shop doors have been closed for three months so my guess is that most AD's have lots of inventory they want to sell.

My AD tells me they haven’t had a Rolex shipment since February. He claims they don’t have a bunch of inventory at all.

NYC should be entering phase 1 re-opening as of June 8 per reports today based upon the decline of new cases. Whether RUSA, and such type businesses, will re-open was not clear. I assume they will at least partially.

Current riot and looting conditions certainly won’t help matters in NYC and elsewhere.

Is the distribution center in the city? Or upstate somewhere?

Whatever time they said, I'd push that back a few weeks.

The Rolex distribution center is located in Long Island City, which is located in the Borough of Queens County, just a short distance from mid-town Manhattan.

Is long island being looted? I think that's a middle-upper class suburb and geographically separated from the action of Manhattan. If there's looting there too, that's sad, and you guys are right that we should kiss the projected reopen date goodbye, atleast for a few weeks.

My one AD told me June 15 would be the soonest anything would ship out of NY (pre riot), my other ad told me a small shipment was sent out of Dallas last week (picked up a 116500 white), not sure if this is true or the watch was sitting in the safe). He also told me once NY is reopened that they are going to come out guns blazing with a lot of shipments per Rolex CEO

Long Island City is quite a different circumstance than the Hamptons Long Island, or even an area like Glen Cove. LIC is just across the East River from Manhattan.

I talked to my AD beginning of May, and the word was that they will open in the beginning in June. And i see a couple of post here that say June 8 and June 15 as potentials dates. So the best answer is Soon

At this point no-one really knows anymore given all of the unfortunate events going on. For a moment I felt like things were looking slightly optimistic with covid but now you have riots and unrest, which throws more uncertainty. Hope everyone is staying safe, because we are going thru very tough times :(

Please leave the protests out of this discussion, it does not affect the reopening of NYC. I believe their Phase One is scheduled to start June 8, whether allowing a distribution center to open is included is not clear.

The looting damage will delay the opening of many buildings.

Not what one AD told me. Further delays.

Anybody live by the distribution center and can drive by it to see if it looks like it's open on June 8th? Haha :D

The distribution center in LIC is in a relatively industrial area with little B&M storefront present. I highly doubt there was any activity near that location. The building is also highly guarded/fenced as well.

I do but I don’t think we’ll be able to learn much by looking at the building. It’s a very nondescript building.
